As with all our poetry slams, competitors will have two minutes to dazzle the crowd with their original spoken word poetry. The twist? The Adelaide City Libraries long running Poet in Residence program is something we are proud to facilitate. Our first Poet in Residence for 2023 is Pam Makin, presenting Shakespeare’s Monkeys.

It is said that, given an infinite amount of time, a monkey with a typewriter would eventually write Shakespeare’s complete works.
