The Adelaide City Libraries long running Poet in Residence program is something we are proud to facilitate. Our first Poet in Residence for 2023 is Pam Makin, presenting Shakespeare’s Monkeys.
It is said that, given an infinite amount of time, a monkey with a typewriter would eventually write Shakespeare’s complete works. One poet with the resources of the Adelaide City Library should be able to produce a few original sonnets! What might the Bard have thought of a sonnet in a pocket-sized zine? I think he would have approved.
