Application deadline extended for City Library Poet in Residence

If you haven’t applied yet, you have until 6:00pm Sunday 13th February 2022 to get your proposal in for this fabulous program at the City Library, Rundle Place, Adelaide. The residency will now be in April / May.

The Poet in Residence will be given 16 hours over their allocated month to work from a studio space provided within the library, and will additionally create at least one opportunity to present or perform their work. Chosen participants will be paid for their involvement.

Spoken Word SA 2022 Poet in Residence Program at City Library

We’re pleased to announce the Spoken Word SA Poet in Residence Program at the City Library, Rundle Place, will continue in 2022.

Summer Slam 2022 Feature: Tracey O’Callaghan

In addition to all the talented competitors for Summer Slam 2022, we’re lucky to welcome Tracey O’Callaghan to the stage as our feature performer!

Tracey O’Callaghan is a passionate, raw, feisty poet. She will take you on a journey, fire you up, and fill you to the brim with powerful words. As a practice run for the SA leg of the Australian Poetry Slam, the Summer Slam has traditionally consisted of five heats, plus a final. This year, we’re doing it a little differently. This will be a one night only event!

SWSA’s Kami is Writers SA’s latest writer in residence

Award-winning poet and author, Kami McInnes will be travelling to the South East of South Australia this October as Writers SA’s latest Writer in Residence.

McInnes will be visiting several towns in the region to connect with readers and writers through readings, events, workshops at libraries and community centres, as well as providing one-on-one consultations:
