Heat 3 of the 2023 Poetry Slam at Port Adelaide Library was a stellar evening of talented poets, battling for their chance to go to Sydney. We were humbled by all of your amazing performances and heartfelt words.
Marc Ryan The Beautiful Bogan had us in stitches while the scores were being tallied, with a perfect transition from “feels” to “lols” before our winners were announced.
Arantza Garcia took the win, with Drew Cuffley a close second. Congratulations to all our performers for yet another outstanding show of talent.

SA Heat 2 of the Australian Poetry Slam at the Woodcroft Library treated us to some outstanding performances! Winner Chris Battistuzzi and and Runner-up Tim O’Loughlin made it through to the State Final and feature performer Grace Colsey shared a spoken word twist on some of their award winning cabaret show. Heat 1 of the SA leg of the Australian Poetry Slam took off big-time at the State Library of SA, where we had a room full of poetry fans and 12 competing slammers. After a fierce round of fiery words and cheers from the audience, we named our first two SA State Finalists for 2023.
Congratulations to Heat One Winner Matthew Pankhurst and Heat One Runner-Up Alex Vansilalom! We’ll see you on the 30th of September at Goodwood Institute Theatre for the final.
