A superb start to the 2018 Slam season at the State Library of South Australia with a near capacity crowd and 24 poets registering. Sadly that meant 4 missed out. With Alison Bennett – Performance Poet as guest and inspiration, 20 poets shared their words and gave us their all! Well that’s it for the 2017 SA Poetry Slam! Congrats to winner Andrew Drake and runner-up Chiara Gabrielli. They are both off to Sydney Opera House to compete in the National Poetry Slam.
