Registrations open at 6:30pm. The show starts at 7:00pm.
20 competitors per heat – first 15 are guaranteed, if over 20 register those last five spots are decided by random draw.

$5 Entry / Door. $150 in prizes and two spots in the SA Slam Final up for grabs.

Feature performer, Jill Wherry. Having always been interested in writing and the spoken word, after retiring Jill discovered bush poetry and began attending festivals to ‘test the water’ with her poems. The remnantsof her cute Irish lilt made her performances unique and she soon became a crowd favourite. Born with a keen eye for observation and a zany sense of humour, Jill records the quirky side of her life’s experiences through verse.

PLUS a very special guest: Nancy Bates is a singer-songwriter who describes herself as a late bloomer. Barkindji woman Nancy Bates is a new voice whose songs are written from life. Growing up in Broken Hill with ties to Wilcannia and Menindee, the Far West songbird has been on tour with Archie Roach in the UK but will be playing for us at Woodcroft Library on her return.
