SA Heats for 2022 Australian Poetry Slam

The SA heats for the 2022 Australian Poetry Slam are coming up through August and September, so start getting your work ready. Remember, there is a 2-minute time limit, your work must be original and there are no props. Click here for the full set of rules.

The inaugural SWSA Animal Slam went off in all the best possible ways! Big audience, great selection of poets and fabulous performances! After two highly competitive rounds, Tracey O’Callaghan came out in first place, closely followed by Cayley Ferguson and Tracy McNally. Congrats also to Sarah Manning and Lexis Vhi who also made it to the second round. Taeghan Buggy totally ripped in the guest spot.

Application deadline extended for City Library Poet in Residence

If you haven’t applied yet, you have until 6:00pm Sunday 13th February 2022 to get your proposal in for this fabulous program at the City Library, Rundle Place, Adelaide. The residency will now be in April / May.

The Poet in Residence will be given 16 hours over their allocated month to work from a studio space provided within the library, and will additionally create at least one opportunity to present or perform their work. Chosen participants will be paid for their involvement.
