RUMBLE SA Slam showcase events

 

The Rumble SA is a new youth poetry slam initiative from Spoken Word SA, the organisation behind the SA leg of the National Poetry Slam and its immensely popular (and much more informal) sister event, the Summer Slam. In conjunction with Arts South Australia, The Rumble SA aims to mentor young poets (aged 26 and under) by expanding their knowledge of and strengthening their skills in the art of spoken word performance and slam poetry.

Huge news for the young poets and spoken word artists of South Australia!

The Rumble SA is a youth poetry slam initiative from Spoken Word SA aiming to mentor, expand and strengthen the art of spoken word performance and slam poetry amongst younger artists (26 and under) in South Australia. And the actual slams are just one part of the deal!

SWSA is proud to support and adopt the recently released statement on Women in the Arts Workplace Safety.

With others in the arts community, we believe:

  • it is time for zero tolerance of sexual harassment, violence, entitlement, and sexist and transphobic behaviours and language.
  • the arts are not special and there is never a circumstance where someone should feel unsafe or silenced in the creation of art.
