Another great heat. Thank you to Onkaparinga Libraries for their continued support and well done to Winner Scott Bartholomaeus and runner up Abraham Freeman who have secured their spot in the SA State Final on 27th September at Goodwood Theatre, Goodwood. Jon Brooks is a stand up comedian from Port Pirie – that explains it all, really. A journalist by trade, he’s written for TV shows including Rove Live and Legally Brown. He’s a regular guest on ABC radio, host of the Swear Jar Podcast and won best new artist at the Adelaide Fringe in 2011. Brooks will return to the Adelaide Fringe in 2020 with his 7th solo hour, Selfies From Chernobyl. Other shows of note include Sargasm, Beer and Loathing and The Evil Dad.
