SA Slam Heat 1 goes off!!

A superb start to the 2018 Slam season at the State Library of South Australia with a near capacity crowd and 24 poets registering. Sadly that meant 4 missed out. With Alison Bennett – Performance Poet as guest and inspiration, 20 poets shared their words and gave us their all! RUMBLE SA Slam showcase events

 

The Rumble SA is a new youth poetry slam initiative from Spoken Word SA, the organisation behind the SA leg of the National Poetry Slam and its immensely popular (and much more informal) sister event, the Summer Slam. In conjunction with Arts South Australia, The Rumble SA aims to mentor young poets (aged 26 and under) by expanding their knowledge of and strengthening their skills in the art of spoken word performance and slam poetry.
