The Rumble SA is a new youth poetry slam initiative from Spoken Word SA, the organisation behind the SA leg of the National Poetry Slam and its immensely popular (and much more informal) sister event, the Summer Slam. In conjunction with Arts South Australia, The Rumble SA aims to mentor young poets (aged 26 and under) by expanding their knowledge of and strengthening their skills in the art of spoken word performance and slam poetry.
The Rumble SA represents a significant opportunity to empower young people to make themselves heard on a major stage and share with the world the things that are most important to them. After a series of workshops, The Rumble SA offers participants and the wider arts community an opportunity to showcase their work at a series of poetry slam performance events culminating in a final at Carclew Youth Arts on Friday 15th June.
