In the lead-up to our state heats for the 2021 Australian Poetry Slam, Spoken Word SA will be offering a workshop delving into the art of slam. This will be an opportunity for writers of all experience levels to learn, develop and receive feedback. Presenting the workshop will be Sarah Jane Justice.
One of SA’s most recognisable names in spoken word, Sarah Jane Justice has won the Goolwa Poetry Cup, the Northern Fringes Slam, the Salisbury Fringe Slam, and the SA State Final of the Australian Poetry Slam. In performance, she has featured twice at Adelaide Writers Week, and regularly presents her work at events around the state. Previously, she has shared her expertise in school workshops, presentations, and as part of Adelaide City Library’s Poet-In-Residence program. Now, as part of the Spoken Word SA team, she continues to work towards encouraging and motivating South Australia’s newest talent.
