Sarah Jane Justice is our first Poet-in-Residence at the City Library for 2017

Spoken Word SA and Adelaide City Library are proud to present our first poet in residence for 2017 – Sarah Jane Justice who will be commencing her residency “If These Books Could Talk” on Tuesday 7th March.

A Summer Slam 2017 heat winner, Sarah has been working as a ‘Musical Storyteller’ which involved the creation of two albums and an EP along with performing in her own Fringe Show in 2016. Aislinn Rossi wins 2017 Summer Slam!

Congratulations to 2017 Summer Slam winner, Aislinn Rossi, and runner-up, Andrew Drake, closely followed by Caroline Reid. A hot night at Jive with all finalists on top of their game. Great work also from amazing musos, Waterpark with guest spoken word performances from Gemma Boyd, Wallis Prophet and Joseph Duigan.

Summer Slam Heat 5 winners!

After another killer heat at the fabulous Brick City Bar, we can safely say that winner, Jason Smith and runner-up, Kahtia Lontis will be joining the other 8 finalists for the 2017 Summer Slam Final at Jive on Friday night!

Summer Slam Heat 4 winners!

It was hot on the floor, in the air, along the Mall, but nothing got close to the contestants on the night! Some great words, an excellent crowd, the usual Coffee Pot monster vibe, and huge cheers to winner, Ailsinn Rossi and, runner-up, Mike Hopkins. Summer Slam Heat 3 winners

Heat 3 of the Summer Slam was a win for everyone there, with the fabulous support of the crew at the Southwark Hotel. 

But top spot was won by Caroline Reid followed by runner-up Joel Callis.
