The Summer Slams are back for 2019!!

Four heats and a final at some of our favourite venues around town.

The Summer Slam is about introducing new people to slam poetry, about having some fun, about no ‘real’ pressure. No big prizes, no interstate trips: just good words and sharing. But please read the rules!!

The State Final of the 2018 SA Poetry Slam was a brilliant night! If you missed it, or would like to experience the winning performances again, here they are: winner Sarah-Jane Justice and runner-up Caroline Reid.

Writers SA is looking for several writers to read their work at the Feast 2018 ‘Queers Underground’ event on the 22nd of November.

Congratulations to all the poets who made the 2018 SA Slam final at the Goodwood Institute: it was a fabulous night with a full house. Winner Sarah Jane Justice and runner-up Caroline Reid are now off to Sydney Opera House to represent South Australia in the National Final!

SA Slam Winners are off to Sydney!

2018 runner-up, **Caroline Reid**, and winner, **Sarah Jane Justice**

Well done to the class of 2018 and to our winner Sarah Jane Justice and runner up Caroline Reid who will be representing SA in Sydney at the Australian Poetry Slam Final!

The Final was a fabulous event, with outstanding performances in front of a full house.
