Jennifer Eadie: Adelaide City Library Poet-in-Residence Project, January/February 2018

Workshop and Group Exhibition / I do not have a home

Adelaide City Library Poet in Residence, Jennifer Eadie will work with workshop participants to create written and spoken poetry that will form part of a multimedia group exhibition to be held at the library during January – February 2018. The exhibition will showcase poetry produced by workshop participants – the exhibition will include an audio recording of each poem accompanied by a photographic portrait of poet and poem.

Each workshop will explore the connection between place and belonging / what it means to feel connected or disconnected to the ground your standing on / how do we create connection to a place that is not our home? The project defines poetry as words written from the heart. Workshops will explore free-verse, Dadaism, narrative,  lyrical, eco-poetics, and spoken-word approaches to writing poetry.

People of all ages and backgrounds are invited to attend one or all workshops. All materials will be provided.
