Our guest performer for the night is Nico, a young Asian-Australian spoken word artist whose works often reflect on provocative social issues such as racism, sexism and political discourse. Winner of the 2016 Goolwa Poetry Cup, she has performed as a feature artist with Paroxysm Press, Spoken Word SA and SPIN. In August 2017 Nico, as Poet In Residence at Adelaide City Library, commenced a series of highly successful workshops. These workshops encouraged emerging writers and members of the public to think about poetry as an artform they could themselves engage in.
