MAHA, the daughter of immigrants, is a burgeoning writer and artist who lives and works on the unceded lands of the Kaurna people. She explores themes of displacement, isolation and joy. Driven to seek community in sharing her inner most thoughts, MAHA was first drawn to the transcendental nature of spoken word through her older brother and later, her year 12 English teacher. She has performed in Victoria and had her work published on media platform, the BlindianProject. Her drink of choice: tea. An item of clothing she can’t live without: turtlenecks. You can find her on Instagram @altmaha_ and Facebook @altmahaartist
