What a night!! A nearly full house at Goodwood Theatre saw all ten poets in the SA State Final bring their A-Game and deliver an amazing, diverse and ultra-high quality set of performances. We even had a ‘slam off’ for second place!! But only two poets can go to Sydney to represent SA. So congratulations to our Winner Sarah Almutairi and Runner Up Tracey O’Callaghan.
The scores were close all night with only fractions of a point separating the competitors. Special mention to Grace Atta who was just edged out of the final two in the Slam Off for second place. But massive cheers to all our poets on the night: Sarah Almutairi, Grace Atta, Tracey O’Callaghan, Conor Brown, Archer, Lloyd, Matthew Pankhurst, Karissa de Leeuw, Taeghan Buggy and Britt Frantzmann.
Chris Jaksa blitzed the Sacrificial Poet spot, Sarah Jane Justice performed a stunning guest set (and provided the hats), whilst Coogs emceed with flair and spice. Mel and Kami took care of the scoring and Ian Gibbins took the pics.
