Who will become our next Australian Poetry Slam Champion as audiences vote in events around the country? The prize? They tour Austral-Asia sharing their creative thoughts and inspiring people everywhere to speak their own poetry.
Two poets chosen by the audience at each of our five South Australian heats will head to the SA Final. At the final, our winner and runner-up will be off to the Nationals at the Sydney Opera House!
Poets: share an original poem for two minutes on the mic.
Audience: listen, cheer, vote with scorecards in this national celebration of spoken-word.
There is a maximum of 20 poets per heat, so make sure to get there on time! Sign-ups close at 7:00pm sharp!
Poems must be two minutes or under, no props, no costumes, just you and the power of your words.
Poems must not have been used in previous heats of the SA Poetry Slam.
