The SA heats of the 2024 Australian Poetry Slam finished up in fine style with a full house at Campbelltown Library. With 20 poets performing, it went down to the wire, ending up in a slam-off for first place! Winner Mei Szetu and runner-up Matcho are off the SA State Final at Goodwood Theatre on Saturday 21st September 2024.
Special thanks to sacrifice poet Thomas Cassidy who gave up his spot on the competition to avoid a random draw for the final five spots on the program (see the rules!!). Big cheers to guest Matthew Pankhurst for his lively and provocative set.
